Nick, a college freshman, finds himself in a difficult situation when he's forced to stay with his estranged and notoriously unpleasant cousin due to financial constraints preventing him from securing housing near his school. During his journey through the dense woods to his cousin's home, Nick unknowingly brings back a cursed object (Dybbuk Box), containing a Shin Dalet (a demon). When the story begins, the situation takes a sinister turn when the Shin Dalet disguises itself as an injured woman, only to vanish mysteriously, leaving behind a foreboding Dybbuk box (A vessel known for trapping malevolent spirits). Unaware of the danger he's unleashed, Nick brings the box home, unwittingly inviting a wave of misfortune upon himself and his cousin.
